They started with a 41,800 actual mile survivor Chevelle. It was upgraded with some muscle including a ZZ4 motor, overdrive trans, Hotchkis suspension and Baer disc brakes. Rare factory color combination.
EXTERIOR: The original metal body is in excellent condition. Looks like it has clean original quarter panels, under the doors are clean. It does have an aftermarket fiberglass cowl hood to dress it up. The car is straight, I don't see any rust or blisters. Repainted it's original Tahoe turquoise color. I believe the jambs are mostly original paint. The paint job presents itself really well. It does have some imperfections that you being the owner will know about, other people probably won't notice. The front trim, bumper and grill looks like it's all new. New bowtie mirrors, door handles, tail lights and rear bumper. Sharp looking staggered size Billet Specialties wheels, they've been polished beautifully. 17s in front, 18s in back. All four are wrapped in Continental sport tires, wider in back. The weather strips have been replaced all original glass is in nice shape.
INTERIOR: Rare factory Fawn color. It has been Dynamat soundproofed. New carpet on the floor and a B&M ratchet shifter. The seats are reupholstered with reproduction covers. The door panels are really good original condition. In front of me the dash area is really nice. It was upgraded with a factory SS guage package including the blinker tach. They call it that because the tachometer covers the blinker, so it has a turn signal indicator in the tachometer. Vintage Air was neatly added using a factory control panel. It has a modern stereo with 6 inch round door speakers and 6x9 speakers in back.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: as a frontrunner system I'll be Billet bracket tree has been clear anodized of polished alternator compressor ZZ-4 crate motor right from GM. It's a 350-355 horsepower with aluminum heads and intake. This one has a giant dual feed Holley with electric choke, MSD ignition with a billet distributor and coated headers. The motor is dressed up with some real nice chrome valve covers and billet plug wire holders. There is a Frontrunner system which includes polished billet brackets that were cleared from the factory, billet pulleys with serpentine belt system. It also includes a polished aluminum alternator, polished mini a/c compressor and a modern power steering system. There's an aluminum radiator, a big electric fan, aluminum water pump and an overflow bottle to keep it cool. It also has a power brake system, Optima battery and custom stainless braided dipsticks for the motor and trans.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Rock solid, all original metal. I don't see any cuts or splices in the quarter panels. Under the trunk lid is painted real nice, it has a carpeted mat.
UNDERSIDE: Upgraded with a complete Hotchkis suspension kit front and back. The entire front end steering and suspension is rebuilt. In back it has boxed control arms, lowering springs and swaybar. Upgraded brake system. Baer disc at all four wheels with billet calipers, drilled and slotted rotors at all 4 wheels. Custom e-brake assembly. Custom exhaust with crossover pipe and Flowmaster mufflers. Looking up at the motor it's clean, has a high torque starter. Upgraded with a 700R-4 overdrive automatic trans with an external oil cooler. 12-bolt posi rear end with 3:55 gears and chrome cover. The bottom of the car appears to be very solid. It was dressed up with some light undercoat.
This is a cool car. Easy to find one with SS badges slapped on it. A 300 Deluxe is unique. They started with such a clean car, that makes a difference.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.

    About Volo Auto Museum
No other collector car dealer has been in business longer than the Volo Auto Museum.  Owned and operated by the Grams family since 1960.  We are the only collector car dealer that has 4 generations of experience with buying, selling and consigning classic autos.  For our family, classic cars are more than a business, it is a passion.  Over the decades, we have maintained a reputation for dealing with integrity as proven with our high reviews and A+ rating with the BBB.
Buying a classic car can be exciting, but also stressful.  We want to take the stress out of your buying experience by allowing you the time and tools you need to get to know the car you are interested in before making your investment, not after.  Unlike auctions, we allow test drives, 3rd party inspections, the use of our shop and car lift.  No reasonable request will be turned down.
Selling a car can be equally stressful, but it doesn’t have to be.  After reviewing your quality collector car, we will discuss the options we have available to you and let you decide what works best for you.  We have cash available for immediate sales and we also offer a consignment program that surpasses anyone else’s.   Unlike percentage based programs with fees; we work with a no fee, net to owner.  This allows us the opportunity to treat and market your car as if it were our own.  We invest approximately 00 of our own money into marketing your car, which means if it doesn’t sell, we lose, not you.  So, we are more aggressive in selling your car!
