2000B.C. Neolithic Pottery Vase, Southeast Asia Archaeology

100% authentic, 2000-1000 B.C. antique.    Very interesting shaped terracotta pot from prehistoric neolithic
site in northeastern Thailand.   The terracotta pot has "horns-like" shape, red-colored clay slip, and robe pattern imprint at the bottom.    The item was most likely uncovered from the vicinity of Ban Lum Khao, Ban Prasart, and Ban Nonwat.
Ban Lum Khao is a prehistoric settlement in Nakhon Ratchasima Province, northeast Thailand.    Properly controlled excavations in 1995 revealed a cultural sequence that began in the late Neolithic, followed by three mortuary phases covering the Bronze Age.    There is a book volume "The Origins of Civilization of Angkor: The Excavation of Ban Lum Khao, available on Amazon that describes the excavation, chronology, the material culture, human remains and social structure of the prehistoric inhabitants.    The book is the first volume in a series reporting on the research programme "The Origins of the Civilization of Angkor".
Diameter about 12 cm.  This is 100% antique, NOT reproduction.
The item is in good condition with weather wearing, no crack.    Over thousands of year, the calcite encrustation (white band) and the oxidation of mineral like manganese oxide (black dot) takes place on the surface and is the evidence of its very old age.
