    This is a vintage Betel Box with two interior trays
    and a small interior box
    with lid (2” by 2”)
    that I bought from a
    well recognized
    antique dealer in Rangoon (Yangon) in 2002. The
    lid
    design
    s
    are
    typical of the geometric designs produced by Shan artisans.
    There are four lids in total (including the lid of the small box).

    two interior
    lids (or
    trays
    )
    held "the various items necessary to make quids of betel (for chewing
    ).

    Overall when the boxes are stacked within the large box.
