Y3/9b4 CVT secondary rpm sensor
Y3/9b5 CVT output rpm sensor
Y3/9n1 CVT control unit
Y3/9y1 CVT primary-control solenoid valve
Y3/9y2 CVT secondary-control solenoid valve
Y3/9y3 CVT clutch control solenoid valve
Y3/9y4 CVT control solenoid valve for torque converter lockup clutch
Common symptons include:
Trans-mission Visit workshop warning on dash
, transmission can go straight into limp mode when selecting drive, slipping , loss of all drive and unable to select drive. These symptoms usually start off intermittently and become more frequent until total failure
Common fault codes are
:
P 0722 - The rpm signal from component Y3/9b5 (CVT (continuously variable automatic transmission) output rpm sensor) is not available.
P 0896 - impermissible adjustment of the step down ratio in the continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).
P 0793 - The rpm signal from component Y3/9b4 (CVT (continuously variable automatic transmission) secondary rpm sensor) is not available.
P 0730 - The gear ratio in the continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) is not permissible.
P 2722 - Impermissible closing of hydraulic brake 'Reverse gear' has occurred in the continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) when selector lever 'N' was engaged.
0705 – Component Y3/9b1 ( CVT (continuously variable transmission) ) selection range sensor is defective

After installation , history trouble codes recorded must be erased using original STAR tester or equivalent

Not all modules are repairable, and unfortunately, some of them damaged beyond the repair point
Please send your original TCM, DO NOT SEND “replacement” or “salvage yard” units , they will require SCN coding.
DO NOT SEND the Valvebody , doing so will increase shipping costs.
This is your mechanic’s responsibility to pinpoint the problem in the Transmission Control Module.
