This is one of Kathy Redmond's amazing vintage dolls. Kathy is known in the doll world for her beautiful porcelain work. Her heads and hair are all porcelain done with great detail and beautiful glazes. For Queen Elizabeth she designed dainty painted gold beads and gems around her neck and head and rings on her porcelain fingers. She has a ruffled porcelain collar around her neck and a high detailed collar behind her head. Across the front of the neckline are several kinds of regular beads.
She has several layers of panels over her gown.The under panel is gold lame' which is edged with a delicate gold edging. the upper two panels are a maroon velvet with embroidered metallic flowers. The gown has a metallic gold design and is edged with fur. Her slip is edged with gold lace as are her bloomers underneath. She has gold painted shoes on her legs which are porcelain. She is truly a work of art.
Queen Elizabeth is holding 2 symbols of her reign. One is an orb on which there is a jeweled crown and the other is a staff symbol with an open hand.
